Maintenance Technician I/II (DOQ)
The City of Bainbridge Island is now accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician I/II in its Public Works Operations and Maintenance Division. There is a vacancy in the water and wastewater group, and the position will be filled at either level depending on the qualifications of the applicant selected.
The position is responsible for the skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of water systems and sewage pump stations. Typical duties include operation and maintenance of wells, booster stations, treatment systems, reservoirs, meters, distribution systems, and associated equipment. Strong background in water quality monitoring, pump repair, and control troubleshooting is preferred, and current Class A commercial driver’s license and traffic control flagger certification are desired.
