Administrative Specialist II

Budget Manager

Maintenance Technician I/II (DOQ)


The City of Bainbridge Island is now accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician I/II in its Public Works Operations and Maintenance Division. There is a vacancy in the water and wastewater group, and the position will be filled at either level depending on the qualifications of the applicant selected.

The position is responsible for the skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of water systems and sewage pump stations. Typical duties include operation and maintenance of wells, booster stations, treatment systems, reservoirs, meters, distribution systems, and associated equipment. Strong background in water quality monitoring, pump repair, and control troubleshooting is preferred, and current Class A commercial driver’s license and traffic control flagger certification are desired.

Engineering Manager


The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Engineering Manager.

This position is responsible for managing the development engineering, stormwater utility and water resources sections of the division. Regular duties include but are not limited to:
  • Managing and supervising employees; 
  • Making professional engineering recommendations and decisions; 
  • Reviewing and approving construction and/or development plans; 
  • Managing projects; 
  • Conducting or overseeing engineering studies and designs; and
  • Developing departmental or divisional work plans and schedules. 
The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, exceptional communication skills and the ability to review and interpret plans, specifications and municipal code and engineering standards. Specific experience working in the areas of stormwater management, water and sewer utilities, traffic and street improvements, non-motorized improvements, and/or construction is highly desirable.

Police Officers


 
The City of Bainbridge Island accepts both entry level and lateral police officer applications on a continuous basis. Please visit the Civil Service Hiring Process page prior to submitting an application, as the process differs depending on your status as an entry level or lateral officer.

Testing
