Administrative Specialist II

The Administrative Specialist II position is part of the Administrative Team in the Planning and Community Development Department. The Administrative Team is responsible for providing a wide range of office support services for the Department, including the Planning, Building and Code Compliance Divisions. The employee in this position will work with a variety of audiences including citizens, developers, internal customers and appointed/elected officials. Typical duties include (but are not limited to): accurate maintenance of both paper and electronic files, legal notices, meeting organization and minutes, Department communication monitoring, purchasing and invoice processing. The team is responsible for maintaining the Department’s SMARTGov database as the official permit filing system of the City and also supports the City’s Public Records Officer by responding to public records requests via NextRequest online program.

The ideal candidate will have a background in administrative support services and database management, excellent customer service skills, high attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus and drive in a fast-paced sometimes noisy environment.

Engineering Project Manager


The City of Bainbridge Island seeks qualified applicants for its Engineering Project Manager position in the Public Works Engineering Division. This position is responsible for managing a variety of public works capital projects and programs. 



The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or a related field and three years of progressively responsible engineering and/or project management experience.

Maintenance Technician II (Water/Wastewater Group)

The City of Bainbridge Island is now accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician II in its Public Works Operations and Maintenance Division.


 

The position is responsible for the skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of water systems and sewage pump stations. Typical duties include operation and maintenance of wells, booster stations, treatment systems, reservoirs, meters, distribution systems, and associated equipment.Strong background in water quality monitoring, pump repair, and control troubleshooting is preferred, and current Class A commercial driver’s license and traffic control flagger certification are desired.

Police Officers

Testing
