Complaints

If we have not done so well, we need to hear about it. If you wish to file a formal complaint against an agency policy or a specific officer, feel free to use our Complaint Form (PDF) (using this form is not mandatory). Bear in mind:

  • Every complaint becomes a public record.
  • Every complaint is reviewed personally by the Chief of Police.
  • Complaints may be shared with other departments and agencies.
  • Anonymous complaints are okay, but we will not be able to get back to you regarding the status or outcome of the complaint unless you give us a method to do so.

You may submit your complaint by emailing the Police Department, by stopping in at the police station between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on regular business days, by calling 206-842-5211, or by mailing it to the station at:
