City Seeking Community Input on 2019-2020 Proposed Budget

The City is currently seeking input on the 2019-2020 Proposed Budget.

The budget is the financial plan for the upcoming two years and expresses the City’s identified priorities and planned service delivery to the community. The Proposed Budget supports key community goals, including a significant capital program and dedicated resources to implement priorities identified in the Comprehensive Plan. The next biennium will continue the City’s emphasis on stewardship, financial sustainability, and customer service.

Community members can engage in the process by attending meetings or writing to us.

Meetings: Time is reserved on October and November Council agendas for discussion and review of the Proposed Budget.

  • October 9: City Council Business Meeting
  • October 16: City Council Study Session (no public comment)
  • October 23: City Council Business Meeting
  • November 6: City Council Study Session (no public comment)

A final public hearing on the budget is scheduled Tuesday, November 13 during the City Council Business Meeting.

In Writing: You are always welcome to provide your input on the budget in writing by sending an email to finance@bainbridgewa.gov.

Final adoption of the budget is expected in November. Community input will be accepted up until the Council approves the budget.
