Council Ad Hoc Committees

According to the "Manual of City Governance Policies, Procedures and Guidelines," an Ad Hoc Committee is a "temporary committee established by Council to investigate and advise Council on a specific policy or issue for future Council action, or to develop a legislative or policy proposal for Council on a particular topic."
 
The Council may choose to create ad hoc committees, steering groups, small task groups and multi-agency or regional task groups, depending on the topic.
