Current vacancies
Police (Lateral)
(Salary range: $59,436 - 74,544 per year, $4953-$6212 per month)
We are seeking to fill two vacant Police Officer positions with qualified lateral applicants. We use a continuous testing process for hiring civil service employees. Interested applicants should first take a written examination with Public Safety Testing in order to be considered.

To be considered as a lateral police officer with the City of Bainbridge Island, you must:

  • Take a written general skills test with Public Safety Testing and complete the City of Bainbridge Island application (provided to applicants upon receipt of test scores from Public Safety Testing)
  • Have 12 months' or more active law enforcement experience, and must not have been separated from law enforcement for more than 24 months
  • Have successfully completed the Washington State Basic Law Enforcement Academy or be a graduate of a Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy or equivalent, as accepted by the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission.

Senior Financial Analyst
(Salary range: $70,896-$88,896 per year, $5908-$7408 per month)
The City of Bainbridge Island accepting applications from those interested in the Senior Financial Analyst in the Finance and Administrative Services Department. Key functions of the position include:
  • Financial analytical support to the City’s senior management, including labor relations work
  • Knowledge/skills in database management including ability to develop ad hoc reports from City’s central financial database.
  • Confidential policy analysis
  • Support and analysis of budgetary data, cost allocation data
  • Accounting analysis for annual financial statements
  • GL reconciliation
  • Fixed asset analysis/data maintenance
