Purpose: Preparation and review of the Comprehensive Plan; Review of and recommendations on all applications for amendments to the comprehensive plan, official zoning map and official zoning ordinance of the city; such other advisory duties as may be assigned.

The Planning Commission is made up of seven members each with a term of three years. Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. The mission of the Planning Commission is to be stewards of the Comprehensive Plan by reviewing and revising current ordinances, and regulations.
