The City of Bainbridge Island is evaluating SeeClickFix for use in partnering with our citizens to report and track city oriented issues to augment our internal work order system. SeeClickFix is a website that gives people a simple way to report and track issues that need attention to anyone that is responsible for fixing them. The issues are reported with GPS or Google map coordinates and photographs.
Citizens can report an issue in the following ways:
· Using this web site or the SeeClickFix website using a browser.
· Using free iPhone, Blackberry, or Android smart phone apps
· Calling toll free 877-853-1552 to SeeClickFix
· Email to SeeClickFix
The technology will first be used in reporting Water Pollution and Code Enforcement Violation issues. The map on the city website will show only those issues. Other issues may be reported on the SeeClickFix website, the COBI website or through the Mobile Apps , but will not be shown in the City web page. You may view all issues reported on Bainbridge Island by visiting the SeeClickFix website. The City will be monitoring all of the issues that are being reported and using that information for future planning.
The reported issues are placed geographically on the Google map and are colored orange. The issues in evaluation project will be turned green when they are acknowledged by responsible city staff and will be turned blue when the issue is closed. Issues are automatically removed from the map two weeks after they have been closed and archived.
The originator of the issue will receive an email when SeeClickFix receives the issue. The responsible city staff person will also receive an email when the issue is reported. The originator will receive an email each time a new event occurs with the issue such as acknowledgement, comments, and closing. Anyone can create a watch area and receive updating emails on existing issues or new issues.
Anyone can click on an issue, either on the map or in the list, and look at the history of the event. Reports can be generated for current and archived issues by going to the
SeeClickFix website.
