In 2004, the City contracted with the University of Washington-Seattle Department of Earth and Space Sciences to complete a geologic map of Bainbridge Island and to build a theoretical representation of the Island’s complex aquifer system through a series of geologic cross-sections of the Island north-to-south and east-to-west from well log subsurface descriptions and field exploration.
