Purpose:
The primary duty of the committee is to advise the council on issues related to the city's storm, water, sewer and other utilities. The committee shall not supplant administrative advice on policy issues to the city council but shall be in addition to staff advice. The committee shall not interfere with the administrative staff functions involving day to day operation of the city utilities.
The seven-member committee is appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city council. One council member serves as an ex-officio member of the commitee. For further information, please read the pertinent section of the Bainbridge Island Municipal Code,
