The City of Bainbridge Island (COBI) evaluated two options to resolve issues related to the Washington State Ferries (WSF) maintenance site. One option was to enter into a lease and re-develop approximately one acre of property on the Washington State Ferries Eagle Harbor maintenance yard. The other option was to waive the right to certain claims associated with the WSF site and accept $2 million from the WSF to be used for any purpose the City desires. The City chose to enter into a settlement agreement waiving claims in exchange for $2 million dollars. A link to that agreement is provided below.
